Abstract

|
본 연구의 목적은 트라우마와 영성 및 외상 후 성장의 통합적 접근을 위한 이론적 고찰을 시행하는 것이다. 현재까지 국외 문헌에서 보고된 트라우마와 관련된 연구들은 대체적으로 심리적 고통의 회복에 초점을 두었으며, 외상 혹은 역경에 대항하여 긍정적인 성장을 나타내는 외상 후 성장 및 이와 관련된 영성을 포괄적으로 살펴본 연구는 미비한 실정이었다. 이에 따라 트라우마에 대한 개념과 증상, 영성에 대한 의미, 외상 후 성장의 개념과 의의에 대해 살펴보고, 트라우마를 경험한 이후의 영성에 대한 요소들이 외상 후 성장과 어떠한 연관성이 있는지 이론적으로 살펴보고자 한다. 더불어 국외에서 보고된 외상 후 성장에 관한 기존의 연구들을 고찰해봄으로써 개괄적인 이해를 돕고자 하며, 정신건강 전문가들이 임상 현장에서 트라우마 치료를 시행하는데 있어, 치료적 방향을 설정하기 위해 도움이 되는 기초적인 자료로서 활용되기를 기대한다.

The purpose of the study aimed to provide the theoretical review for the integrated approach of trauma, spirituality and post-traumatic growth. To date, previous studies related to trauma reported in foreign literature have focused on the recovery of psychological distress. However, there were limitations of comprehensive studies on post-traumatic growth and related spirituality. Therefore, we analyzed the definition and psychological symptoms of trauma, the meaning of spirituality, the concept of post-traumatic growth. In addition, the study investigated the relation between the factors of spirituality and post-traumatic growth. It provided the general review and understanding of the post-traumatic growth from the reported studies. In conclusion, the study could be used as basic data for clinical setting when mental health professionals intervened the traumatic treatment and counseling.
