Abstract

|
Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the factors influence the job performance of health center nurses.
Methods: Data was collected from September 9 to 20, 2020. The participants were 169 health center nurses in city B, C, J and K in Gyeongsangnam-do. Data were collected through self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using IBM/SPSS/WIN 25.0 by applying t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression.
Results: Participants' emotional labor, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and job performance were scored on a 5-point scale. The average scores were 3.14 for emotional labor, 3.05 for job satisfaction, 3.28 for organizational commitment, and 3.34 for work performance. The factor influencing participants¡¯ job performance was organizational commitment, and the explanatory power of theses variables for job performance was 22.6%.
Conclusion: This study confirmed that health center nurses¡¯ organizational commitment affected their job performance. Thus, to improve their job performance, it is necessary to accurately assess their organizational commitment and develop and apply various interventions and programs.
